Never before has a strategic vision for the use of technology, intellectual property and personal information in a business been so important. The Tekno Law Practice Group was formed in 1997 to focus on the unique legal requirements of clients who are inventors, who are developers, suppliers or users of technology or who wish to maximize the utilization of intellectual property or personal information in their business operations. The Tekno Law Practice Group represents a "fusing" of the firm's Technology Law Practice Group (which was formed in 1991) and the firm's long established Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Members of the Tekno Law Practice Group have developed expertise and experience in dealing with different forms of technology and intellectual property, and with different personal information management practices. In this respect, the Group's accomplished lawyers provide creative legal and commercialization solutions, and a multi-faceted array of services to clients.

Technology is in a constant state of evolution, with the only real "constant" being change itself. Tekno Law is no different. So as to ensure that members of the Tekno Law Practice Group continue to be fully informed regarding new and emerging legal and business issues, members of the Group attend national and international conferences on commercialization strategies, technology law, biotechnology, intellectual property law and privacy law.

Members of the Tekno Law Practice Group are active in writing articles and in providing seminars to clients, industry groups, professional associations and financial institutions on topics of interest regarding commercialization strategies, technology law, biotechnology, intellectual property law and privacy law. Our services are available in both English and French.
