A significant practice of our Firm is in the area of Taxation. Lawyers who practise in this area are engaged in all aspects of personal, corporate, estate and international tax planning including assessing and limiting the impact of taxation in corporate reorganizations, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and public and private financings, and also all matters of tax litigation.

Lawyers in the Tax group prepare, submit, and negotiate applications for advance tax rulings, and are engaged in all aspects of the tax appeal process from the preparation and filing of the notice of objection through any subsequent trials and appeals. Lawyers in this area represent clients in all aspects of dealings with Revenue Canada, ranging from submissions to defence of criminal prosecution in tax matters.
