Labour and Employment

Acting for clients in the public and private sectors, the lawyers in the area of Labour & Employment Law give advice and opinions in all labour matters, and participate in the negotiation and drafting of collective agreements. The members of this group actively engage in all of the steps of the labour dispute resolution process including negotiation, arbitration, conciliation and mediation, and appear regularly before administrative tribunals such as the Manitoba Labour Board, the Canada Labour Relations Board, the Manitoba Workers' Compensation Board, as well as in matters of labour litigation before the courts at all levels.

Our labour group also assists clients in the drafting of employment agreements, and provides advice on employment law and regulations that pertain to such matters as employment rights and benefits, human rights, wrongful dismissal, sexual harassment, accommodation of disabilities and health and safety standards.
