Lawyers in the Immigration Law area assist corporate and individual clients seeking to enter Canada for temporary business matters or permanent residency. They assist both individual and corporate clients in obtaining Temporary Resident Visas, Work Permits, Study Permits and Temporary Resident Permits. The group also assists clients in all aspects of Permanent Residency processing including applications made directly to Citizenship and Immigration Canada and applications made to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. The group has extensive experience in assisting clients with applications for confirmations/validations from Service Canada and with entry to Canada under various treaties such as the North American Free Trade Agreement, the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement and the General Agreement on Trade in Services.

Lawyers in this area also work closely with other members of our firm to provide a full package of migration services to clients. Members of our Tax group provide advice to clients on customs issues, immigrant trusts, corporate tax issues and personal income tax issues. Members of our Labour and Employment group provide advice on employment laws and employment agreements as they pertain to intra-company transfers.
