Professional Development and Community Involvement
Our firm continues to honour its long tradition of commitment to the legal profession. Many of our lawyers have served as lecturers on legal subjects at the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg, and the Law Society of Manitoba Bar Admission Course.
In addition to providing ongoing internal informational programs on topical matters of legal importance or specialization, members of our firm contribute articles to professional, legal and business publications, and also regularly serve as lecturers or panelists for continuing legal education, and in other community-wide and national legal and business forums.
Our firm is a long standing and active supporter of the Canadian Bar Association (founded by Sir James Aikins in 1914) and a number of our lawyers also belong to the International Bar Association, and are International Associate members of the American Bar Association. As well, many of our lawyers are involved in the Law Society of Manitoba, the governing body of the legal profession in Manitoba.
On a local level, the members of our firm are also active in a significant variety of community based cultural, educational, and charitable organizations.
